There shouldn't actually be a time limit on the login procedure - I'll see why it's doing that!

Re: Can you loose it...

Good question about the meaning of the word there Nige. Checking the Hebrew, it is the Hebrew Suwr / סור , and according to Strong's it means "to turn aside, depart, depart from away, avoid, to be removed, to come to an end, to take away, to put away, depose, to put aside, retract from, reject,...

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

1 Shamu'el 16:14: Now the Spirit of Yahuweh departed from Saul Can Yahuweh's Spirit leave those it once inhabited? Scripture says so. Also notice that Yahushua says "I shall not cast out any who comes to me". Doesn't say that he won't let people walk away. Although I think this is a much...

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

There appears to be (I think) two interpretations of what this Parable is being in reference to: 1) The Tribulation, and the bridesmaids representing two different types of people in it; 2) The paralambano/harpazo/harvest/rapture, and the bridesmaids representing the two types of believers at said e...

Re: Helloooo

Thanks toni, and a special thanks to each and every person who has sent me encouraging emails and words over the past few years, especially those who have put up with my mumblings on a daily bases.

Really, without you all, this never would've happened :)

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

Yeah, it's kinda celebrating the marriage, despite the fact that the actual marriage hasn't happened.

Kinda like throwing a party when you're 14 about getting a new car, even though you don't even have it yet, lol

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

That really does put quite a lot of this in a whole new perspective.

Had absolutely no idea that was how a Jewish wedding worked.

Also didn't realise they waited for the couple to consummate the marriage. That's just a bit weird,

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

To be honest, I don't actually know anything about how Jewish weddings work!

If you have any more info on the subject, erm, Nigmily (:P), please post it for the stupid among us!

Re: stuck on circumcision...

Unfortunately, there's no other words to describe what is done to Acts 15 in QP. It is thoroughly mistranslated and twisted to take another unwavering dig at Paul. There really is no way someone could've come to the conclusion that CW does in Acts 15 if all he was doing was translating the meaning o...

Re: stuck on circumcision...

That is a good point there Nige. Those that have been circumcised, really haven't been done so for the right reasons. And the bit about our parents doing it is very important in light of Leviticus 12:1-8: Yahuweh spoke to Moshe, saying, “Speak to the people of Yisra'el, saying, ‘If a woman conceives...

Re: stuck on circumcision...

Concerning the exclusion of all who aren't priests, doesn't Kefa tell us that we are all priests? And don't those around the throne echo that in the Revelation? "For You [Yahushua] have made us to be a kingdom of priests..." So then, if the requirement for circumcision applies only to pri...

A perfect example of why women should post more often, and not be discouraged when they see men arguing about stupid things :)

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

Interesting question. The fact that the parable ends with "But He answered, 'Truly I say to all of you: I have no clue as to whom any of you are' " indicates to me that they the five left are not saved, and so aren't able to come to the "marriage feast." The interpretation that t...

Re: stuck on circumcision...

That's another weird thing: A foreigner is only required, according to Exodus 12:48, to be circumcised if he desires to "partake in the Passover", but not just him, he has to circumcise all the other males in his family as well. But then, why is a foreigner not required to be circumcised i...

Re: Introduce yourself

I think it's more due to the fact that the DSS are so old, moving them about all the time is very, very dangerous, so once they've been moved once, they basically have to stay there. In most Museums where they have scraps from the DSS, they actually keep them in rooms that've been tuned to the exact...

Re: Introduce yourself

No offence taken toni, and I doubt anyone would do, especially as what you said is true. The OLS still contains many things that just agree with each other, but thankfully they give the base-texts that I've been using for the translations on TWTY. So, my advice to people is this: save up your monies...
