Re: thanks for the DSS transcriptions

You are truly welcome, seraph. It's as much for me as it is for other people. You won't find better and clearer transcriptions of any of the Scriptural DSS anywhere else :) If you want some fantastic quality images for the remaining manuscripts that I haven't got around to transcribing just yet (let...

Re: General Yahushua Questions

Is "el gibbowr" the correct Hebrew term in Isaiah 9:6 translated "Mighty God"? I know you've dug into the DSS so you would definitely know. If so, this doesn't have to mean YHWH does it? 'el Gibbowr is certainly "Mighty God" (or even "Powerful/Strong/Valiant God&q...

Re: General Yahushua Questions

Nope. The Messiah has to be God. He wasn't to be referred to as "Immanuel" for no reason :)

Re: General Yahushua Questions

Well, no, the idea of "man/god" is certainly not a Greek one. For the Greeks, they didn't believe in a one Supreme Being, but a Pantheon of 'gods', whom could do whatever the heck it was that they wanted. The demigods such as Perseus, Hercules etc., etc., were the offspring of a god with a...

General Yahushua Questions

I was sent an email recently by a close friend with some pressing questions that he, and several others around the globe, have concerning Yahushua and His relation to Yahuweh. I thought it would be good to start some open discussion on them, to see whether we may be able to reach some sort of consce...

Re: Do You Believe ...

I have, and I gotta say that I'm sick and tired of seeing the same old tired arguments brought forward with absolutely no proof. Let's take the "Virgin myth" stories. The first one mentioned is apparently the "Virgin Queen" of Egypt "Mut-em-ua" giving birth to a Pharaoh...

Re: Do You Believe ...

Rob pretty much said it. "Young Woman", "Virgin" or "sexually inactive" are actually all meanings of the Hebrew 'almah/עלמה in Isaiah 7:14: no one has actually proven that when 'almah/עלמה is used in the Tanakh, it doesn't mean "virgin" in the place that it's ...

Re: feast of weeks

Just another person confirming that Firstfruits and Pentecost always fall on a Sunday, and that the counting of 50 starts from the day after TheSabbath, and not just from the day after Unleavened bread :)

I like how your brother writes, Robdavid. Crystal clear, and very easy to understand :)

Facebook Convos

Since starting a TWTY facebook page, I've had a few people message me on there asking some questions. I shall be using this topic to post some of them (that I've asked permission to do so), and to let other people comment, as there are some great questions asked, that I've attempted to answer :) ---...

Re: my experience last passover my first one 2012

I think we can even look to people like Abraham. As far as we can tell, there's no evidence that Abraham worshiped Yahuweh until He called him and told him to leave his father and his family and move. For all we know, Abraham worshiped false gods along with everyone else in Ur at that time. When it ...

Re: The rendering of The Sacred Name

Hi Steve, As I can see that the only "source" that site uses is the Strong's concordance , I truly do not care what they have to say on any subject when it comes to Hebrew. Strong's Concordance has a very basic lexicon at the back, so using that as a basis for one's Hebrew teaching and/or ...

Re: The rendering of The Sacred Name

Hi Steve, If I get some time at work this week, I'll have a look over some of that. A quick glance doesn't hold much promise for me. However, seeing that this site is mainly ran by women is a massive breath of fresh air. Sick of all the male-only websites with regards to Scripture out there (yes, in...

Re: Questioning Paul Review Part 2 - The Messiah's words

I've read both and I find them excellent resources. I appreciate the time that you've put into the RC/NT translations. Thanks for your kind words there, Steve. Anyway, I want to thank you for your work and as an aside, have you thought about doing any thing with the T/P/P? Hmm, how can I answer tha...

Re: Tribulation and Rapture

I'm not that surprised, actually. If you look at most of the topics of discussion around here, the rapture really isn't on peoples "I need to talk about this" list. I personally don't care either way. If there's a rapture? Great! Won't have to deal with what comes after. If there isn't a r...
