Re: my experience last passover my first one 2012

I think we can even look to people like Abraham. As far as we can tell, there's no evidence that Abraham worshiped Yahuweh until He called him and told him to leave his father and his family and move. For all we know, Abraham worshiped false gods along with everyone else in Ur at that time. When it ...

Re: The rendering of The Sacred Name

Hi Steve, As I can see that the only "source" that site uses is the Strong's concordance , I truly do not care what they have to say on any subject when it comes to Hebrew. Strong's Concordance has a very basic lexicon at the back, so using that as a basis for one's Hebrew teaching and/or ...

Re: The rendering of The Sacred Name

Hi Steve, If I get some time at work this week, I'll have a look over some of that. A quick glance doesn't hold much promise for me. However, seeing that this site is mainly ran by women is a massive breath of fresh air. Sick of all the male-only websites with regards to Scripture out there (yes, in...

Re: Questioning Paul Review Part 2 - The Messiah's words

I've read both and I find them excellent resources. I appreciate the time that you've put into the RC/NT translations. Thanks for your kind words there, Steve. Anyway, I want to thank you for your work and as an aside, have you thought about doing any thing with the T/P/P? Hmm, how can I answer tha...

Re: Tribulation and Rapture

I'm not that surprised, actually. If you look at most of the topics of discussion around here, the rapture really isn't on peoples "I need to talk about this" list. I personally don't care either way. If there's a rapture? Great! Won't have to deal with what comes after. If there isn't a r...

I think some of these questions, Laurie, deserve their own thread! Feel free to make them in the relevant sub-forums :)

Re: Tribulation and Rapture

I think the main reason most split apart the weeks is because the chapter itself appears to do so. It starts off saying there'll be 70 weeks (9:24), then I'm not sure whether it just splits these 70 weeks into the seven weeks (9:25a), 62 weeks (9:25b), then one week (9:27), or whether the seven week...

Re: Tribulation and Rapture

Hi Laurie, Contrary to what most scholars believe, I would state that the Messiah was actually born in 2 BCE, not between 6-4 BCE. The reason most scholars say He was born between 6-4 BCE is due to the fact that Flavius Josephus, a 'historian' from the end of the 1st Century CE, stated that there wa...

Re: Tribulation and Rapture

The best place to start with this is the website that Rob has already linked to already - Ken Powers Future History. He has a chapter on there dedicated to this exact question - Getting All Caught Up You can use that as a starter, and then if you need anything more clarifying then feel free to ask u...

Re: only a million questions

Hi Zolana, Unfortunately, there really isn't an easy or quick way to paraphrase/shorten all the new information you've been reading. It is frankly impossible to shorten everything down to a quick few paragraphs, as everything runs very deep, and goes back a long way. I will advise you to take what y...

Re: Do angels sing. Music generally.

I would definitely say that Christians spend far too much time singing rather than teaching anything Scriptural. Saying that, Scripture does mention "singing" quite a lot (150 times), and the Psalms themselves are all songs. Yet as you've pointed out, Heavenly Messengers singing is quite r...

Re: taruwah

Yes - it is incredibly frustrating when people show a lack of interest in all this, and trying other things to try and get them interested used to be on my agenda. That was until, really, when it becams quite disheartening when no matter what was done, very little appeared to come of it. I get more ...

Re: The rendering of The Sacred Name

Seen that website before Noel - it's complete and utter rubbish.

Also, i refuse to click on the popup just to read his turd.

I'll give a more thorough response to it if you so desire other than "it's rubbish", but I honestly don't think it's worth either my or any body else's time :)

Re: Numbers 13:16. Moshay changes the name הושע to יהושע

DSS_-_4Q80e_zechariah just contains the text of Zechariah from Manuscript 4Q80e; whereas DSS_-_4Q80e_(4QXIIe)_Full contains the full text of the manuscript 4Q80e, which contains not just Zechariah, but Haggai as well.

The same applies to 4Q77b.

Re: Numbers 13:16. Moshay changes the name הושע to יהושע

Unfortunately there is no website that has them listed.

I've provided transcriptions for the Minor Prophets book on this site - 4Q77MinProb | MurXII | 4Q80e

But I've yet to get to the other books listed above

Re: Questioning Paul Review Part 2 - The Messiah's words

Thanks Noel. I too wish I had some comments on it. It can neither be improved or disproved if no one makes any comments on it, either here or to me in via private email. I want people to comment on it. I want it to be as critically scrutinised as possible by those who actually care whether the Messi...

Re: Numbers 13:16. Moshay changes the name הושע to יהושע

I can actually confirm that, contrary to popular opinion, the full name of the Messiah (and therefore of Joshua) is most certainly Yod-Hey-Vav-Shin-Vav-Ayin - "Yahuwshuwa" contra to Yahusha'. This is based on discovering, in the dead sea scrolls manuscripts four different ways of spelling ...
