Re: When was Yahushua crucified Part 2

In Leviticus the uneaten portions of the lamb were to be burned; they could not exist until morning. Yahusha's body must have been 'vaporized' during the first night. Was there not a full eclipse of the moon the the day of crucifixion?

Re: Circumcision Questions

Yah says that the 'foreigner' must be circumcised in the heart AND in the flesh in order to enter Yah's home. I do also wonder why this instruction is only for males? There is nothing comparable for women.

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

The Sabbath is the 7th day of the week; it is not one day out of 7 . . .

No; not "all things are lawful . . . "

Paul spoke Torah to the Torah observant, and taught otherwise to the non-Torah observant . . . He was "all things to all people . . . "

Re: Was Paul a Lawbreaker Part 1

The Pharisees did not persecute the Messianics. So where did Paul get this idea that he should?

How do you read Romans 7? God cannot die; and surely, the God of Sinai did not die; God did not end His one and only Covenant. Paul's god reads like Dionysus.

Re: Saturn worship

Interesting discussion on the forum here of the lunar Sabbath. I've been reading up on this subject at: http://www.creationcalendar.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.judaismvschristianity.com/History_of_a_Lie.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);r...

Re: Circumcision Questions

Another problem is that most of us do not know whether we may actually be descendants of one of the 12 Tribes of Israel or not . . .

Re: Circumcision Questions

I don't know . . . Think about it. The Egyptians who "joined themselves" to the sons of Jacob during the Exodus were considered just as much a part of "Israel" as the natural born sons; they all had the same instructions, and the same obligations. They were all considered "H...

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

Noel, I think the 10 virgins represent the Called-Out Assembly at the time of the paralambano/rapture. I really didn't see their representing the tribulation time. Remember, the Bridegroom only comes to 'abduct' the Bride, not the guests. I don't think the consumation of the wedding happens when we ...

Circumcision Questions

I often hear the statement: “One is grafted into ‘spiritual Israel’ through trusting Yahowsha; one does not need to become ‘Jewish’ to be part of Yahuwah’s family.” My thoughts are these: Reality is duality — there is a spiritual side and a physical side; one cannot exist without the other. Yahuwah’...

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

I believe the 10 virgins represent the whole ekklesia; the coming of the Bridegroom is the paralambano/rapture; only SOME will be taken (one will be taken, one will be left); the 5 wise virgins are "ready" (they knew what "delighted" the Bridegroom) and are taken as the "bri...

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

Noel, That is a good question. But think, the Bridegroom in the Jewish wedding sets out to "abduct" the "Bride" per se, not the "guests"; I assume they are called "virgins" because the bride's attendants in a Jewish wedding (and in most weddings until recent t...

Re: Parable of the Ten Virgins

I have an idea as to why there are 10 virgins of 5 and 5: The number 10 alludes to the "Ten Words" of the Ten Commandments; the number 5 alludes to the "Five Books" of the Torah. As for the interpretation of the parable, I have this so far: The points of reference: The Jewish wed...

Parable of the Ten Virgins

I have the assignment of analyzing the parable of the 10 virgins this week for a small non-demoninational mid-week church class I agreed to take with a good friend of mine. We are reading the book "How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth" by Gordon Fee, how to understand narratives, parabl...
