Re: See how long/large/tall letters .. Gal 6:11

Wow, that was a really quick reply! I obviously have nothing better to do :P Do you think it was forged? It is fine to stay undecided because one should not set an opinion in stone or in a rush. Personally I don't think that 2 Thess is a forged letter. But then, my opinions are very much in contras...

Re: See how long/large/tall letters .. Gal 6:11

If I may troll a little... Hardly trolling when it's an genuine question :) ἴδετε (π)ηλἰκοις ὑμῖν γράμμασιν ἔγραψα τῆ ἐμῆ χειρί see how ____ you letters write my own hand Case 1: (unlikely) Suppose it is letters as in messages on pieces of papyrus. Explanation A: Paul wrote several long and emotion...

Re: Facebook Convos

Ah, that fun time that is trying to engage people in FB comments. On a status posted by the ever awesome Ken Power (http://www.kenpowerbooks.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), a "discussion" once again erupted concerning the person of Paul of Tarsus (aka Saint P...

Re: Early Christian quotes from the bible

Yeah, I've never been able to find a genuine reason for how someone can "copyright" a manuscript quote. I guess the transcription done by the transcriber could be copyrighted? I really don't know.

Re: Early Christian quotes from the bible

Yes, the policy certainly is "you can read - but don't you dare quote anything!"

Re: Early Christian quotes from the bible

Unfortunately, the answer to all your questions posed above, sestir, require only the two following words: "none" and "no". To break them down a bit, with a slightly more fuller response other than "none" or "no": "Surely there must be.....written in what...

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

I see that you believe no other bible translation is quite up to par with yours. Any time there is debate over a verse you say all the other translations are wrong. Seeing as though most 'translations' aren't new 'translations' just "Revised versions" of previous "versions" whic...

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

Thanks for that story there, sestir. I unfortunately couldn't find much about it on the old interweb. Would you be able to provide us with a quick webpage source? :) It’s probably against my better judgement to reply to this of yours, Heph, but what the hey. Hopefully it might aid others who would b...

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

I think we should wait until when you get a new computer sorted before we start adding more stuff to talk about. We've got more than enough at the moment to wade through :) (Edit: Also, I would give the pages on the main webpage a read. You'd understand this place, and my responses, a lot more - htt...

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

I didn't say I pasted my own words because I didn't know you could tell what was pasted and what wasn't. I can't. If it wasn't my words though, I would have added quotations. I shall keep that in mind :) I am on a cell, not a computer, so it is not so easy for me to write freely and post links. I a...

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

No need to be rude or unkind. I wasn't being rude or unkind. I was giving an accurate description of what I saw. Is there a reason you are against copy and paste. Yes, because it usually shows that the person who's done the C&P hasn't really thought about it at all, but just wants to regurgitat...

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

TWTY-Admin, Whether or not you agree, the majority of scholars believe that the ravenous wolf of Genesis 49 was Paul. Do you believe it was someone else? "Scholars"? What "scholars" do you refer to here? The word so commonly used by Saul, bondage, is always in reference to the l...

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

It must also be said that the Messiah spoke to Jews mainly - not Gentiles. The Messiah didn't really talk much with regards to the marriage between a "believer" and an "unbeliever" - Paul on the other hand had to contend with this issue, especially in the ridiculously polytheisti...

Re: Heir to the throne of David

The only prohibitions for whom a Levite Priest can marry is that the women is neither divorced, a whore, widowed, and is still a virgin (Lev 21:7 & 13-14) :)

Re: When was Yahushua crucified Part 2

Hi Heph, Whilst we certainly won’t agree between whether the Aramaic or the Greek is the original, from what I can see, there isn’t much discrepancy between the two when it comes to the Messiah’s last days. When Yeshua gave the sign of Jonah, it seems to me that the parallel he was making fits bette...

Re: When was Yahushua crucified Part 2

Hi Heph (sorry for the latish reply - work beconed!), I too must apologise for my unpleasant tone (due to my guard being up as well). I've argued over when and for how long the Messiah was crucified/was dead to death (excuse the pun), so annoyance and stupidity took over what should just be another ...

Re: When was Yahushua crucified Part 2

I spent 2 hours writing a very thorough reply this morning, and accidentally erased it by hitting the back button on my phone. So I will keep this short. I hate when that happens too :) "Do you not see the irrationality, illogic, and contradiction in your own words? If the Greek "has too ...

Re: When was Yahushua crucified Part 2

I was referencing the Greek text altogether, not an individual verse. Are you saying that Mark 31st not say that? Again, see the thread where this is explained in detail. In several places it says "after three days" (Matt 27:63; Mark 8:31, 9:31, 10:34); in others it says "on the thir...

Re: Was Paul a lawbreaker Part 3

But he does tell them that though, and continues to correct them on upteen other things as well. There's a reason why 1 Corinthians is over 6,800 words in length.

Plus what act of "sexual immorality" does he promote that the Messiah prohibits?
